Marine Option Lab (MOLAB) is comprised of Midshipmen and MECEP students pursuing a commission in the United States Marine Corps.
It consists of a two-hour drill period and a physical training session in addition to the two Battalion-wide PTs. During the weekly drill period participants learn basic Marine Corps knowledge to prepare them for Officer Candidate School (OCS) and The Basic School (TBS). Skills such as land navigation, basic infantry tactics, and military history are taught through practical application and classroom instruction. MOLAB PT focuses on functional conditioning to prepare participants for the physical rigors demanded of a Marine Corps officer. Each semester culminates with a weekend long Field Exercise (FEX) where participates conduct small unit leadership exercises. MOLAB is mandatory for all MECEPs and Marine-Option Midshipman but is open to all Battalion members. MOLAB is led by |
